Set against a dreamy blue teal backdrop the first layers of this painting were created in the strong reds and bright pinks of anatomy. Referencing a beach image of Bethany in this beautiful dancer’s pose, the idea was the create a dreamscape where the figure would float. The initial focus is on the beauty of the pose, with the ICD ( implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) box as an afterthought, it celebrates the beauty in lifesaving treatments.
