This is based on the legend of the dragon, Leviathan. The female dragon represented the element of the sea and was split from her male counterpart, before being killed. At...This is based on the legend of the dragon, Leviathan. The female dragon represented the element of the sea and was split from her male counterpart, before being killed. At the end of days a great feast is held where the salted flesh of the dragon is consumed by the righteous. I wanted to take a tongue in cheek approach to this legend and reference other end of the story meals. In this drawing the dragon hovers between life and death as she is simultaneously eaten and killed. The series of narrative drawings focusses on the life of the dragon before meeting Saint George. -
